200% hp buff strategy - ikkaku vs tosen for pvp

ok i know that ikkaku is the better damage dealer. but now that there is the 200% hp buff, i was thinking about who would be better if they use their skill in their first round.

if ikkaku
Skill: Attack enemy vanguard, growth rate 260%, decrease enemy vanguard's fury point by 50, increase self fury point by 25

if tosen
Skill: Attack enemy assaulter, growth rate 160%, decrease enemy assaulter attack by 50% for one turn, recover self fury point by 25.


now this skill of tosen got me wondering. if going first with fury from partner then wouldn't tosen be a better partner than ikkaku cos the opponent would now do their skill attack which is 50% less.


and this works only if your tosen hits opp main after he does a normal attack ie if opp main is faster than tosen. so it will be
opp main - attack
tosen - skill
opp main - skill (this will be reduced 50%)

had it been ikkaku, he would do his skill to the vg first , agreed that would break lot of the vg but then. wouldn't tosen now be better than ikkaku in arena.csb atleast?

and this will also be helpful in seretei, guild war i believe.

Read the stuff you said, tousen skill is interesting, again it's a matter of speed; he absolutly need to be faster than the opposite main orelse  i don't really see the advantage to reduce opponents assaulter after he triggers his 10th skill.

Also in pvp why not associate a 1 3 1 foramtion with both tozen and ikkaku and put behind urahara for fury boost most of time vg is a pain in the ass, so ikkaku can be useful to destroy vg fast and tozen reduce the dmg of the 10th skill attk but also of ikkaku's opponent; against tozen need to be in light speed;

That's said in my server we have 3 people with 100% fury and more than 100k speed on main so i don't even bother reaching top 3 but for the other opponents it can be interesting, specially if you get unohana to heal assaulters.

its only advantageous if the opponent doesn't do his 10th skill in the first round even if opp has more AGI. it will be useful if you are not able to defeat monsters in ur arena but be able to stay right after them in arena.

i'd say it's a balance between PVP and PVE. Their merits are pretty obvious since they each have their own orientation. It depends on the style of the people in your server.

purely pvp wise tosen will be good for adding DMG to AS and debuffing the opponent's 10th skill and will even help u to win against an opponent who could previously one shot u with his 10th skill. Assuming that your're improving your AS survivability to last at least 2 rounds of enemy AS skill attack, after the 1st round the timing goes hay wired and u need to make sure u kill the opponent main before he skills again.

while it's nice to have, you'll have to balance between your overall growth or personal satisfaction ( from pvp )

If you wanna take your time to level, u can enjoy PVP orientated partners like harabel and tosen
If u level fast, then it's ikakku -> urahara -> kenpachi -> (your choice)
rate u get gold reishi just gets faster with each parter u add to your PVE team.
i call it took me 1-2 days to get urahara after getting ikakku (but i got hundreds of Lv10 silver cards from halloween chests haha). 2-3 days to get unohara after getting kenpachi (pure grinding on ryoka n ES)

the problem with tosen doing skill is that if in the same round he n opponent does skill, and this is if opponent is faster than him, then its of no use, cos the effect is for one turn only, and that one turn ie the next turn , opponent will do a normal attack and not his skill attack, so yeah, its only good if u have some monsters up the arena and you can go a more higher untill those who don't have 100% fury. you can definitely kill the other non fury monsters with this.

then just make him incredibly slow, since u said going first with fury from partner, but u won't get anywhere faster than someone with a stacked main. Ruk and tosen won't outlast their usefulness when Vs someone u can't one or two shot with ur 10th skill. meaning to say, after the 1st round they becomes useless unless they survive long enough for the next skill.

yup, if you just cant beat monsters then partner fury is the best way to atleast be the next best . eventually they will be slow cos rukia ain't that fast. but yes this would be only a one off case i guess but then partner fury main and tosen would be enough to take them out in the first round itself and keep just the vg and main standing with low hp. now only if there was a free vg who would attack all enemies

If you build her tanky enough with high stam and counter stones she MAY work. If she lives in PvP i get 5 partner T1 fury. But I hate committing all those resources so I don't do it.

I use VG/Main/3 supports in PvP now. Ichigo/Main/Urahara 100% fury/Gin (who get's 100% fury from Urahara)/Unohana

As long as my Urahara lives and Gin lives it works regardless of speed. I dropped my mains speed from 135k to like 90k for this set up.
