Shinji vs Komamura

This again, i am wondering, how much better is either actually?

I mean, i know that Komamura gets 30% defense buff from his skill and he has passive def bonus, but how good is that actually, against the Block% that shinji has?

Shinji is basically a better version of Chado, has high block, but Komamura will be sacrificing like 40% block for his defense, or something along those lines.

So how good is that extra defense, compared to 40% block?

the easiest way to look at it is this, block can be broken by break defence which high level mobs have plenty of as well as hit rate which means that block and dodge are generally rendered pathetic later on with maybe one or two blocks a battle at best with full block rate, mind you that is much later. on the other hand defence can be made useless even easier by a simple high attack level which is common among trial and instance bosses

Komamura is much better as Sean^^^ said for both pve and pvp as most players and pve mobs have a high hit % and break def %.

Well i'm lv71 and my block on chad is non-existant in PvE 70+, i'll give you that, which is stupid honestly.
He has like 90% block rate and it gets reduced to nothing in PvE.
