I was seeing a battle report from HMA and a guy in my server that had isshin, shura kenpachi, main and nozarashi kenpachi, with kazeshini zampaktou, was fighting an enemy team with gin, shini uruhara, kisuke, main and stark, hyorinmaru zampaktou.  So basically so I don't go into much details, the fight after 2 or 3 rounds were shura kenpachi and nozarashi kenpachi, versus enemy's stark with hyorinmaru.

Now the thing is nozarashi kenpachi skilled, and no damage on stark, same with shura kenpachi, he skilled, and no damage on stark.  But I noticed something odd, when they didn't skilled, when they normal attacked stark they did a lot more damage than they did with their skill attack.  Is there a reason to this?
Why normal attack deals more damage than skill attack?

If I'd posted the battle report it would be easier to comprehend this, but since it's not my fight nor my person, I'm not sure if I"d get into trouble posting somebody else's fight.

That's probably noza'a debuff fossilize. It prevents the vg from taking skill damage, only basic attack damage

Ah, ok, I didn't know that.  So it's basically the same skill damage as isshin's then.
