Mug is brutaly overpriced now.
in the same price range, how about...
Ichibe, Shini Kensei, Hiki, krinji
top up at the right times you can get either hyorinmaru or sogyo for free.  hyroin would make ichibe almost unkillable, and would help boost hiki and krinji's speed.  sogyo is good for pve, and decent for pvp as you get the damage bonus from zabi, but also a small speed boost.
hell with the cash you save from skipping mug or demon ichi, you could get a zan.  Zangetsu or Muramasa are good and help boost speed,  Senbon would probably add a touch to the price tag, and with hiki and krinji in the back it would seem silly IMO.  Tensa is of course amazing, but priced on par with Mug...  It's your call, but both options seem weak for the price IMO
