Pve, The 8th skill?

Hey guys, I had a question.

I have heard some people talking about the 8th skill being viable for PVE, Some even said that it was better than the 9th skill. But no matter how i look at it, The increased damage the 9th skill does and the dmg increase it gives is far more than one of your partners getting an extra turn. So i was wondering, Am i missing something? Is the 8th skill better in PVE than the 9th? And if so, How?

depends on you realli, 8th skill allow you combo rate 100% therefore most likely attacking twice and furying earlier then expect, therefore more dmg
high vips perfer 9th skills since it can go well with alot of zanpakuto so all come down to your built and lvl i suppose

8th skill + SWP grimmjow is op . Especially if he crits

I've always used the 8th skill.

If all partners do 2mil damage a 15% increase should make it 2.3mil. Now that's 3x300k or 0.9mil damage increase.
If the 100% combo rate gives straight out 2mil damage, even if its every other turn, that's still a bit more than the 15% increase.
The combo gets even better if you have Sexy Yoruichi or another special partner.

Well that's my look on 8th vs 9th, but in the end it really depends on your characters. I have run a ton of tests on this but the damage between these 2 skills is barely noticeable. Maybe a solid test without Crit stones, block stones, etc. and without random extra turns will sort this discussion once and for all.

If you are using zabi i dont think it matters much which skill u use just that you stick with the choice until the 10th and 8th/9th is maxed out first before leveling the other 8th/9th that u have not leveled. However, if you do have sogyo abandon 9th as soon as 8th is at a point where it can match what u are doing with 9th.
If there was more solid facts about combo rate i think this wouldnt be that hard to figure out.

i use sexy.yorui+csb byakuya +main
8th skill i get 20m damage
9th skill i get 16-17m damage

why cos, main does his 8th skill then in the next turn when he does an attack , byakuya will get to do an attack
and when byakuya gets to do a skill, then in his next attack , sexy.yorui gets to attack
so thats like so many extra turns, which is way way better than the 9th skill.

and yes, this depends on your formation. if you don't have a 100% combo guy then go for the 9th skill.

According to Azrial the best PVE formation till now is Ass- Sexy yoruichi, CSB Ken, main 8th skill, Supp-obedient orihime, shin gin/dark rukia , Zan- Sogyo.....
if you got the green to meet those things mate then 8th will be the best.....if not then i prefer 9th

i've heard that if you got sogyo as zanpakuto. 9th skill will be useless for pve events, so u have to use 8th skill. but not sure, also never really tested 8th skill. but seeing people own opinion about 8th skill being better then 9th, i might test it tomorrow to see if there really is a difference or not.

Sogyos buff and 9th skills buff overrites each other.....

Well I got dark rukia in current reio and got sogyo from the tresure map thx to my inattention so I will soon be able to test it out as well. Need few more lvls on dark rukia to make her viable and then I will see and will be able to share my experience as well.
