i use hikifune shinso gin isshin and shura for evil spirit but for ryoka i use isshin at the moment want to know who is better

With isshin you will need another assaulter so the combo can be used
You will need to go 1-3-1 for ryoka

No remove shinso, hiki gives dmg buff
Keep 2-3-0 formation on ryoka till you see you get killed without vg, then switch 1-3-1 try this formation I say you can get the most dmg this way

or 2-3-0...  with Shura there, up to wave 70ish a vang should be overkill in most cases
When i get my Shura, my pvp and pve team will look like this...
Shinso, C. Orihime, Shura, Isshin, Main

I figure between C ori and Shura, a vang will be so overkill in events, and by round 2, most of my fights are decided anyway...

Vanguard is not really an overkill in ryoka unless your assaulters have so much hp that they survive all rounds and trust me when I say that at later waves, the dmg is pretty huge even if it is blocked. Assaulters dont get any damage reduction bonuses from zanpakuto after all. So unless all your assaulters have atleast over a million hp in ryoka I wouldnt go that way (without vanguard).
I personally use 2-2-1 formation from start to the end because I can oneshot waves where I wouldnt need vanguard even with him anyway and it saves me the trouble to switch as I would have to switch more than just eq.

I am currently using shinso, cute ori, shura ken, main + noza and I can oneshot till 300 mil. hp with very average stuff, no high lvl hogu, 120+ ulti eq/accessory or stones above lvl 10. I might switch cute ori for hiki and shura for b. renji eventually if I have the money but thats it. I personally think that unless you got enough money to afford extreme formations like 3-2 or 1-3-1 or something like that where you need a lot of same kind of equipment and stones then 2-2-1 works the best.

At later stages even your vg gets killed

I ran and preached about running a 2-2-1 for ages,  and still love the setup.  but have run 2-3-0 till wave 55ish in Ryoka for quite a while,  always testing things, pulling this partner for that one, checking damage,  watching some of the fights to see how long so and so lives, what are my weak spots... you know,  that kind of thing...   I can tell you that personally, my server given all the heavy hitters show up) gets to between wave 72 and 73...  up to wave 71 my 2-3-0 (shinso, cute ori, isshin, z renji, main w/9th will 80% of the time  live to the 4th round, sometimes the skill kills me.  for me personally, I don't find enough of a bonus of switching in a vanguard for that last round, and for PVP...  My shinso skills in at 223k speed, and so does my Isshin (both T1)...  after round 1, the people i fight against have either died off to the point where i can just finish them up (if not already dead) or they have already killed enough of my party where having a vang there would not help at all.  Currently trying to beef up my weak spot...  killing supports round 1...   My T1 Shinso hits like a truck, but with 120% damage rate (maybe 125%, don't remember TBH) it's hard to land a hit on supports that will kill the zero division partners, and my Isshin crushes assaulters (and is wonderful for it) but won't touch supports until everyone else is dead...  considered just nerffing everything off of Isshin to stack Shinso further...  but my Isshin is wonderful...  so i dunno

My best advice for anyone looking to swap up your formation for something else, or wondering "who should I buff up" or "how do I beat this jerk in my server" is to watch your fights, pay attention to what happens when, and what could happen to make you do better, VIPs often forget to do this and just blindly skip all battles and just go by stats.  If your opponet has bad ass supports that are very fast and you want to know who to get from level 70 tavern?  given your opponet is not T1 where you can't, get yourichi and stack her fast. For F2Ps and low VIPs, look at the tops.  they all have 1 thing in common (other than their high VIP, lol)  they stack...  One partner at 400k BP, and 4 partners @ 24k BP will 100% of the time crush a party of 5 partners all @ 100k BP...  

tips for finding a partner to stack hard...
1) partner must be very fast
2) partner must have high damage chance
3) partner SHOULD be AOE (so your one partner can hit everyone at the same time, lol)
4) partner should be constant (Tenjiro CAN work, but you will probably have to fight your rival 2 to 5 times to have Tenjiro hit his stars before they can crush you)
5) T1 is almost required to be awesome...

F2P tips for T1...
1) get Tavern Kieske
2) fully mod him (requires level 100)
3) put 6x 10% fury stones on him
4) make him slightly faster than your star partner
5) give your star partner 1x 10% fury stone and 5x 8% fury stones
6) reck your rivals
