More Weapon Materials, Plz

Seriously. What is with the shitty drop rate for weapon materials?

I have enough materials to craft 4 whole EXTRA sets of the armor, but not a single one of either of the weapons (much less a second one for the partners using the same weapon type). Seriously. I'm going to be at the next tier of equipment before I ever get a single weapon crafted for my current one at this rate.
