Retsu Kinpachi, Shini Yoru, Invulnerability, Ryoka Normal Atk?

Just had a thought:

Does invulnerability on Shini Yoru cause Ryoka's Normal atks to miss?

I'm curious, because I never paid attention to the fight, as I skipped the battles

I know that the Ryoka's Skill hits every one regardless.
But wasn't there a battle where someone showed us Yachiru with incredibly high dodge, causing Ryoka to miss their attacks?
And on the same train of thought, if this does happen, what if you combined Yachiru + SWP Nel?!?
0 fury regen?

Any ways, while thinking about Retsu's skill, and needing a vg for waves 52+
What if you can give your vg invulnerability, and cause the ryoka to miss?
The ryoka would never build fury.  meaning you would get all 20 rounds to dish out dmg.  
That damage would be incredible!!
