Neither is, there both vastly different units.

PVE: B renji is the king for gold color.

PVP: Yama is among the best units for that color.

Depending on what you need the other can do what one cannot, yama has a bonus of being insanely easy to get but if you already have B renji keep him on for PVE due to its importance otherwise no need to go spend 15-20K for B renji in a event.
