Why do people stop at 5th Division Lieutenant?

So, a lot of people in my server stop upgrading their ranks at the 5th Div. Lieut. and I was wondering why. Surely there is a trick?

if  u rank 1 no need to worry apart from a futur merge

Yes, it pretty much is a trick

after you go past 5th Lieutenant, you then start to have a daily reduction of prestige; you gain prestige but lose some

so people stop at 5th division lieutenant to store a mad amount of prestige without losing any, to then upgrade so much to the point they become like, 1st division straight away lol

it seriously helps, you should do it ^^
