Gold Reishi acquisition rate (UPDATED Sep 16th)

Hello everybody!

Based on some testing, I have noted the average rate at which you accrue Gold Reishi while using Janken. This was done by me primarily to determine if 10x auto janken and manual janken yield have significantly different success rates, but I thought I would share the general findings, anyway.

SHINJI TAB (lv70 tavern):
- 10x Auto Janken: 11.7 reishi per 1 million silver spent;
- Manual Janken: 14.8 reishi per 1 million silver spent;

This means that you need, for gold partners, on average:

- 1000 reishi partner: 85.3 million silver (auto janken), 67.6 million silver (manual janken);
- 1200 reishi partner: 102.4 million silver (auto janken), 81.1 million silver (manual janken);
- 1500 reishi partner: 127.9 million silver (auto janken), 101.4 million silver (manual janken);

Results so far indicate, with ~75% certainty, that manual janken is, indeed, better than auto janken, resulting in 21% cheaper partners. This result is not yet conclusive, though - I will keep updating it as I get better sample data (i.e. more samples).

URAHARA TAB (lv80 tavern):
- 10x Auto Janken: 16.6 reishi per 1 million silver spent;
- Manual Janken: no data yet;

This means that you need, for gold partners, on average:

- 1000 reishi partner: 60.2 million silver (auto janken);
- 1200 reishi partner: 72.2 million silver (auto janken);
- 1500 reishi partner: 90.2 million silver (auto janken);

Very important finding: Please notice that the lv80 Tavern yields significantly more reishi than the lv70 tavern, on auto janken. I am inclined to think that, with the current sample size, this has a very low chance to be a statistical anomaly. I strongly advise to accumulate reishi using the lv80 tavern as soon as it becomes available, instead of the lv70 one.

Comparison between lv70 and lv80 taverns:

- Partner price (in silver): ~30% (!) cheaper on lv80 tavern;
- Average wins (per janken game): 0.49 (LV70 tavern), 0.77 (LV80 tavern);


*** NOTES ***

- Current sample size: 550 auto jankens, 100 manual jankens (still not large enough);
- There is roughly a 25% chance that the yield from auto janken and manual janken are actually the same, and the currently observed difference is just a statistical deviation.
- I will update this post as more accurate data becomes available.

- total reishi gained

Tried my own research when i needed large amount of xp books. Might help some new ppl who still dont have their favourite tavern :-)
Both times i used auto janken and in both times it needed +- 175 mil silver for 105 tries
110 tavern 2628 reishi gained
100 tavern 2818 reishi gained
Will be trying 90 and 80 tavern today because I need large amount of reishi for xp books again

Well if you have luck like me (6 gold reishi for 3mil in lvl 70 tavern) three times in a row then manual is definitely better even if you loose half the time in the first round...

Alright, time to update the thread with my manual janken.

Just so you know, this was a major pain in the ass.

I did 50 million silver worth of Manual Janken in the Lv80 Tavern, here are the results:


First 10 mil, 61 tries - 124 reishi
Second 10 mil, 62 tries - 167 reishi
Third 10 mil, 57 tries - 178 reishi
Fourth 10 mil, 60 tries - 159 reishi
Fifth 10 mil, 55 tries - 178 reishi

The amount of tries is different because of the random amount of silver gained/spent for various combinations of janken win/losses.

So here you go, for 50 mil (295 tries) of manual janken, in total i earned: 806 Golden Reishi


Also for the sake of statistics, i did another 5 Janken and gained 36 reishi.

So 300 Tries of manual janken - 841 Golden Reishi.

If that is enough statistics to get the manual section started, then go ahead

So out of 51 mil , i gained 841 Golden Reishi, at this rate - 60,5 mil - 1000 Reishi.
In the end, it is as you said:

- the yield from auto janken and manual janken are actually the same, and the currently observed difference is just a statistical deviation.

Your results fall into the same category as the lv80 tavern.

From my personal experience, i had a little bit less luck and it took me about 65-70 mil to get 1000 gold reishi in the Lv80 tavern, but the math in this thread shows that, the average is 60mil per 1000 for the Lv80.
I'll also update this thread with the numbers i got from 30 mil auto janken.


I used 30mil.

First 10 mil - 160 Reishi
Second 10 mil - 130 Reishi
Third 10 mil - 120 Reishi

To a total of about 410 for 30 million silver.

Which in result means that i would need about 73mil to get 1000.

That was with auto-janken in the lv80 tavern.
