How good is oetsu nimaiya?

Is oetsu nimaiya, like a good partner to get?  I mean gogames just throwing a bunch of partners, here and there. Some very expensive and some like oetsu, are at a reasonable price.  6k gold isn't too much, seems like a fair price, but I'd like to know, if there's a catch.  His skill is promising as he attacks everybody, he has high kido mods mutilates an enemy, not sure what that does, I think it gravely injures a foe, and he decreases fury by 10, which is reallly good, especially for those annoying t1 people.  And I hear he's fast, oh and he recovers hp.  

So I assume he's good for 6k, but I"d like to know where he'd be more useful or how'd he be more useful, and if he's worth getting.

The only reason that attracts me is that he decreases 10 fury, kinda like csb aizen.  That is very good.  I could use some spirit forged 120 agi accesories on him but I don't know how that'll affect opponents.  Plus don't know his bonds, nor evos.


But as mentioned before, there's kirinji, and probably a bunch of other supports coming soon.  So after all this, is oetsu worth it?

for my 2 cents.  Otetsu has many teams he is good with.  I'd rather have Senjumaru or Hikifune TBH, but that's because I already have Bankai Rukia, and her mutilate hits exactly who i want it to 100% of the time, plus she has a 200% damage rate, which is awesome.  IMO, you should have a way to clear out either assaulters or supporters before he skills to give a better chance of his mutilate to hit the vang, who is really the only person that should ever need to be mutilated.

long answer short:
Yes he is worth it, but unlike Hikifune, you will need a plan to get the most out of him.   Also...  everyone is telling you that Hikifune is god because she can make you invulnerable, which yes she can, however most all of the newer OP partners have a mod that makes them ignore that jazz and deal damage anyway, and being that your not F2P, your probably willing/able to inherit mods making you be able to mod him up to that point fairly fast, so disregard that if your willing to sink a little time and gold into that (because you'd be stupid if you didn't if i'm being honest)

ok... so.. does oetsu's skill work in ryoka? like does he do 480M damage to the 600M HP ryoka for example?

Well he very good he was t1 not pure t1 but with shinso gin.
and he one shots assaulter. Even #1 Mugetsu.

He is viable if you combine hikis 50% dmg rate buff along with his 100 fury regen and add in Brenji into the mix XD
a 2-3 formation would destroy even in pve
Hikifune T1 + shinso T1 to T1 the rest
Main jus does its thing
Brenji be adding more crit dmg bonus with his skill while regenerating 100 fury a turn
Ryuken basically does 360% if hes t1 right away and skills with a combo if you use your mains skill for 100% combo.
so your not missing out on dmg
