Formation is the Key that I just can't find

Another one of those need help posts. I am having a hard time of breaking down how I want my formation set up. Currently have the following:

1-3-1 So Hiki support, Mug/Main/W. Ichi Assault, and Ichibe as my VG

This team takes me pretty well through most events PvE or PvP but it still seems to be lacking. So I am trying to figure out how to improve on this for both PvE and PvP even if its completely different people for both. The other people I have not in use are:
Shini Kensei, Tenjiro, Shinso Gin, Retsu Unohana, and Shini Urahara.

Any help is appreciated. If you need more info to help me break this down feel free to ask.

you're wasting mugetsu's skill a lot so you should either go 2-3 with shinso as sup or take out w.ichigo and put shinso, make hiki T1 and the rest is just up to your damage
