Yamamoto Genryusai; How to build?

As I plan to get Yamamoto(like many other people) after filling the energy in the bar once, I wish to know just how good he would be for my team.
My current team is MC, Byakuya, Kisuke(T1), Gin and Hollowed Ichigo.
I plan to change this to MC, Hakuteiken Byakuya, Yamamoto Genryusai, Kisuke/Shinso Gin and maybe Nozarashi Kenpachi if I top up/Hollowed Ichigo.
What should I, as a Vip 0, do before I get Yamamoto for Yamamoto?
What should I stack? What should I not do in the game for now?
(Btw, I'm saving vit for UBP).

My Byakuya's stronger so I plan to exchange him with Yamamoto.

what is his level when you hire him in soul cultivation bar ?

I believe any partner you get from Soul Cultivation is going to start at level 1
(as when you put the cursor over the partner, it says Use Level:1, and also, any partner you get from an event other than limited lease event starts on level 1).
