Also, if you dont have one of the items requested, the gold amount to cover for it does get added to total. Bought the 120 ult set chest with 200 ult waters and 200 crystal cores for 5050k gold, and got that amount in points. Had all the other items except for the 10 epic exp books which was 50 gold to get that requirement.

You get points for buying the Flag Rewards.  It is not 100% gold spent equals points though.  I noticed a few things like using gold in place of Vitality doesn't give the points for gold spent.  

So if something costs 5000 gold, 500 coupons and 50 vitality and you didn't have the vitality to cover it, you would spend 5550 gold, but only get 5500 points.

I guess if the partner changes day by day it's possible. Otherwise max points would be 30k, which wouldn't make sense since Yhwach is in the Points Shop for 60k. I guess a new partner/zanpak will appear every day.
