How do they work, with socket stones you need around11 but these are material frags will they unlock 2 slots ?! Any idea

It's just these have never been available for us to require

We've been using UNIVERSAL socket stones this whole time, which is available to any gear

these are the natural ones (imagine it like with materials, where you have these to upgrade with for specific gears: and then have the universal ones which work with any gear:

Same thing applies to the socket stones ^^

Since i need 22 to upgrade, i'd need 2 of these boxes to upgrade that 110 ultimate weapon, so 2 soul cultivation rewards of the same thing

I would bet they work similar to spirit water.  Those are probably like the 10th Division Spirit Water that only works on certain level ranges.  I don't think it would be worth it to spend the 10,000 points to test though.
