What does the critical hit % mean?

Say i have 50% ciritical hit.

Does it mean

1)that every second hit that my character deals will be a critical hit damage?
or
2)that whenever i crit, the damage will include an additional 50% of phy attack?

If 1, then how much damage % will i be doing for every crit that i do?
If 2, then what determines at which hit will i be doing a crit?

thanks

all the skills here can crit so its the same in normal or skill hit both can crit and do 50% more dma also if the skill recover fury the fury recover crit (this game is so weird) ex: if Ikkaku crit he recover 37 fury (normal 25) also rukia recover 45 when she crits (only at one char btw normal recover 30 fury) also the normal crit hit recover 100 fury lol (if im right, maybe 75 gonna check this )

crit deals 50% more than normal hit or skill hit, crit - counter= % of crit success, at AoE skills % ...

that makes sense. thanks

if crit-counter=50%, then will it crit on the normal hit or the skill hit? (provided char does normal attack first and then the skill attack)

crit deals 50% more than normal hit or skill hit, crit - counter= % of crit success, at AoE skills % is calculated at all the chars and most of times only Van have an high counter rate so with high crit you still can crit assaulters and support

for my opinion it depends on the enemy if he  got a higher % of their counter, because  it would be  ...

but if he is an assaulter and the other assaulters don't have that much of a counter, then it would atleast hurt the others nicely right?

for my opinion it depends on the enemy if he  got a higher % of their counter, because  it would be useless even you get 80% of critical but he got 100% of counter.

it would be interesting to figure out how the actual damage by crit is found out and if there is something that aids in its growth.

Just to add my 2 cents worth,

If you have 50% crit chance, this is non-accumulative. This means eve ...

yes, i was asking about the case where the opponent wouldn't be having the counter stone, sorry i missed it. i meant an ideal case here.

thanks
