Was online ok, had to refresh and doesn't connect to any of the eu servers currently. .

US servers working for me though... anyone else having issues connecting with only EU servers at the moment?

all EU servers will have been taken down. Merged or not. Most companies would use this time to do other basic maintenance too

server EU42 is under maintenance but its not one of the servers being merged.  what gives?

It's not server merge at all cause they need to announce it and if you see it is maintenance time...
