asauchi gear question

I will get a 120 equip gear set from csb shop to convert it into the new asauchi gear, that starts at level 40ish.  I was curious, if I convert the gear right from the start, when infusing the gear, will i need waters from level 40 or 50ish? or will i need the level 120 equipment waters? Will it have any difference if i infuse the gear fully to level 20 and then convert it into asauchi gear or convert it first then infuse it with waters?

You do get slightly less damage rate initially (negligible imo). Everything else is better.

I had no idea.  I thought the ult. 120 gear was better than the lvl 60 asauchi at least.  I knew the asauchi gear was to be better but I thought it was until it was around lvl 100

It's not equivalent. The lvl 60 and 80 asauchi gear are just generally better.

what about the level 120 ult. gear?  My doubt is whether the 120 ult. gear is equivalent to a let's say level 60 spirit forged asauchi gear or lvl 80 asauchi gear

Technically, the lowest asauchi gear upgrade is supposed to be better than even the regular level 140 pudo gear in the majority of stats.

Now what I want to know is a level 120 gear ult. from csb shop is equal to what level of asauchi gear in terms of strength? 80 base or 80 spirit forged?  Or maybe level 100 base maybe.

use the lvl 55 tower, since its the cheapest to infuse (its the base gear once you forge it) also unlock sockets b4 you upgrade it b/c the higher the lvl the more socket parts it takes to unlock them. every time yuo upgrade you have to refine again, but your infuse level will stay the same as previous so if you max it it'll stay maxed
