In-Depth explanation of Toshiro's freeze in PvPE

Exploit, bug, hack or intended. Take it however you want - This will purely teach you how come we say "Use Toshiro to break void"

For starters, here's his skill:

Glacial Realm
Attacks all enemies, dealing 100% damage
Freeze enemies for 1 round, increase targets' damage recieved by 40%
Reduce all enemies fury by 50, silence 3 random enemies for 1 round
Restore own fury by 50.


Freeze it says, but the hell is freeze actually ?



Freeze is a debuff that works, pretty much as you would expect it to do.
Here's an example of partners being freezed:


2 things can happen here.

1: If they're attacked, they will be taking 40% more damage, thus breaking the freeze.
2: If they're not attacked, the freeze will act like a stun. Making them use their turn to break the freeze.

That's how Toshiro works in normal PvP.

That's also how Toshiro works in PvPE (PvE)

The difference is, in PvPE events. Ryoka, Evil Spirit, Void - their speed is very low. So all our partners will use their skill before the enemy gets their turn


You might ask: How do we freeze them then ?


You make Toshiro go last.

If Toshiro is the last person to skill, nobody will be attacking the ice block to break the freeze.


Let's take Void as an example

Bankai Rukia here has 54.612 speed.
If you have a Toshiro with let's say 100.000 speed, while the rest of your partners are at 50.000 speed
Toshiro would skill, Bankai Rukia would use her turn to break free from the ice.



TL;DR:
Toshiro freezes his enemies in PvPE as he would do in PvP.
Make him the slowest, so that nobody hits his freeze and fucks it up


Q: Can't I just remove all my hit rate ?
A: No. Even if your attack is dodged, or blocked, or anything else - the ice will still break.

Q: Where does this work?
A: Everywhere.

Q: I put all my speed on Toshiro, making him slow seems impossible
A: I feel ya. He's the fastest partner in the game, suddenly having to make him slow can be a major pain. Let me give you some ideas as to what you can do:

- Remove shoes from his equiptment
- Remove his mod soul
- Change his speed mods ( Will cost some coupons to change, but can be changed back to speed for free. Can be useful if you really want to do it on a void with exclusive frags )

Q: Is it failsafe to do ?
A: No. If Toshiro combos, it will fail since someone will break it.

Q: What do I need to do this ?
A: Here's a list of stuff you need at a minimum:
- A fury generator ( Keisuke or Shinso Gin )
- T1 for said fury generator
- Enough fury stones to make sure Toshiro gets to skill from 25/37 flurry
- Enough crit on Toshiro to make sure he gets 75 flurry every round ( Or use both Keisuke and Shinso )

Bingo, 30% of final damage.
Your normal attack 300k becomes 390k with the freeze.

It's all the same freeze code. Just like shield is the same for all characters.

People are still using Shin Daiguren to freeze Void enemies, so it should work.
