Spirit Stones Explanation

Can someone explain what the different spirit stones do?
I kinda understand the rest except for hit, break defense and counter spirit stones.

Hit = Hit rate (Opponent can't dodge or less of a chance to.)

Counter = Counter rate (Opponent hits you, you send a counter attack back.)

Break Defense = If they have defense skill, it makes it as if they didn't have that defense on.

Hmm, i think Counter are anti critical gems, that reduct chance from you take critical strike, the gem that allow counter is the block gem!
