Kensei is a waste of gold reshi. plus level 70 tavern is robbery. keep renji, supplement with Ikkaku, replace renji with either swp Grim, Kenpachi, or Event Renji
BTW, yes Kensei IS better than Renji, just that gold reshi is better spent on either a new vang, or Yourichi. DO NOT JANKEN IN LEVEL 70 TAVERN!!!! It pays out terrible!!! Just my 2 cents, if you have an extra 1000 gold reshi to throw away, go for Kensei I guess, just you never see him because he's a terrible waste of reshi...

Obviously Kensei does far more damage than Renji... he has a much higher growth rate and he has a higher skill rate and that attack % bonus from skill is amazing. But the question is, is he worth gold reishi vs renji's purple.... and is he worth it over the alternatives.

Only get Kensei if you have the silver for it. The damage will be a little bit higher but nothing special. Look at both their skills and growth rates, you can see there's not a huge difference at all for a 1000 gold reishi. Most players are better off saving their silver for Ikkaku and Urahara.
