kensei or Isshin?

Thinking of running Hikifune + urahara in the back (cant afford t1 unless I have urahara) isshin or kensei in front with main and just w/e van until I get SWP kempachi. Im also thinking of getting B. Renji for pve.

Who is better overall? Kensei or Isshin? Why?

And as a side note what Zanpa should I get? (cant afford tensa) This is for both pve and pvp so I don't wanna be switching. Right now I have Hyorin and Zabi. Thinking of getting either Zangetsu or Muramasa

Your opinions will be greatly appreciated. I cant afford the more expensive stuff and im trying to have a good team that's good for endgame pvp/pve.

AS FOR ZAN , ZANGETSU FOR PVE , MURA FOR PVP , I WOOULD CHOOSE ZANGETSU OVER MURA THOUGH DUE TO THE PVE ASPECT , MURA IF YOU WANT PRETTY FAST SUPP/TEAM

does the growth rate make that much of a difference?

isshin: 190% + 100% +190% = 480% over 3 turns
kensei: 110% + 110% + 110% = 330% over 3 turns

Isshin = 35% combo to assaulter for 2 turns
Kensei = 30% combo to assaulters for 1 turn

From looking at the mods Kensei doesnt seem to get much more in damage either if u ignore his pvp immunity mods
From looking at evo Kensei gets a bit more att but has less combo rate

Kensei skill = CHANCE to cc all for 1 round
Isshin skill = Guaranteed CC to assaulter line

Kensei = ~12k gold
Isshin = ~10k gold

Base stats and growth rate Kensei wins hands down.

I just wanna make sure i get the best one and id like a few more opinions. Please your input is greatly appreciated.

BTW i got Zangetsu today from the anniversary event

Personally B Renji is better than the both of them for your PvE. But as far as kensei vs isshin, kensei definitely has a strong edge in PvP, better stats in general. Isshin though has 5% more combo on his skill and a much higher growth rate on it too as you mentioned. Then there's the 2k difference in price you mention as well. I personally think they're even, kensei has more versatility due to his PvP usefulness, whereas isshin is a guaranteed lock on you enemy's assault line + he's slightly better for PvE from what i can tell. So when you consider the 2k price difference it all comes down to are you willing to pay that for a slightly better PvP partner?

The 2k gold doesnt make a difference to me when it comes to getting the best partner. I will be getting B Renji as well, no worries there.

And your answer is kensei has slight edge in pvp and isshin slight edge in pve right?

Is kensei's skill reliable in pvp? im usually not very trusting of chance skills

You can always use gold enchant stone and get the control enchant, can't remember the name of it, but there's an enchant there that increases the chance of controlling enemy, and also there's accesories, which can increase your chance.

The enchant does not increase your chance to control. One of them increases your chance to stun, the other increases your chance to silence. Both of them are by 8% by the way.

Right now im leaning more towards Isshin for the pve damage and more reliability in pvp, but im scared of getting him and then realizing kensei's base stats and growth rate make a big impact.

Im on server 264 which is fairly new, about to be 1 month old and im lvl 85. I already started 1 shotting ryokas but could use more damage in evil spirits.
