I don't really understand myself why yhwach is so far ahead but the reason why senju is so low is simply because there is better alternative- isane.
Sure senju is neat partner but she is for support-focused teams, she won't really benefit muken in any way and will only help supporters deal more damage what in muken's era isn't that relevant most of the time. She herself isn't also the biggest damage dealer unless you have katen, but those with katen either have her for long time already or they aren't going to get her at all. I inherited my senju long ago cause she really had no use outside ES and ryoka, which became too easy because of muken. For me also oetsu was more beneficial than her because of his speed halo, which helps my muken to outspeed enemy's mukens.

As for isane, she really seems like a partner that would benefit muken a lot more due to her attack boost for everyone every round+ healing. That alone can be great help in void which is IMO most important PvE rn and will help more in PvP than senju can. On top of that her mods also reduce enemies' damage rate and when she is being attacked she can cast various effects. It may not be game-changing and must-to-have partner but still IMO she is much better than senju. Honestly, senju's only advantages are her speed and being great as fury booster for supporters but I don't think it's enough for senju to compete with isane.
Personally, looking at choices in poll I would say it's isane>oetsu>senju>koga>yhwach if I didn't have any of them but it also depends a bit on rest of the team

100% agree ... people underestimate how well isane fits to almost any combination....

yaa but yhwach is much preferred because isane's buff can be replicated using kk .... and yhwach is a mini muken sama

yeah, but when we look at effect/cost ratio it isn't that great, and if enemy manages to kill assaulters who were supposed to give extra round to muken before they move then buff from the skill is weaker than isane's (at least 1st version of ex-skill), tho there is also that sweet chaos

Well we won't know for sure if it'll stay at 50k crystal or whether it'll be increased to more

Not everyone are like that. And look, if smthng isnt fit to ur team will u take it? and when they giving tensa for example second or 3rd time wont u get lil bit angry when ubp is ur only chance to get cool zanpa or char ? especially when u playing 3 years or even 1 year? ofc peeps get angry lil bit when they arent even close when everyone got orange chars and u arent high spender. They shouldnt be like kids and h8ting so much but try understrand em a lil bit. everyone playing some time deserve for it.
