it is fantastic for sure (in terms of tavern partners at least)...  especially with 2x fury builders to keep him skilling every round...

pair him with Ikkaku exclusive...

PVP, Ikkaku exclusive, Byaukua OG
PVE, Ikkaku OG, Byaukua exclusive
keep tavern Kiuske + C Orihime in the back row...

good  team, all will stay up to date as they will all be in full time...
all will skill every round with all that fury gain...   maybe pull Byaukua PVP for a super stacked hard blocking Nnorilta, just for the lulz...

as my A team i am thinking to be byakuya,the bold bouda, i would like kyoka aizen shunsui at pvp
at pve urahara,cute ori,bya and ikkaku

Personally unless you Super adore Tavern byak and like him above all else do not bother with him and wait for UBP.
In the meanwhile Ikkaku will do you much better his base skill is only slightly off  and his exclusive makes ikkaku better in PVP than byak aswell and you can just stop at lvl 30 you dont need anything else.
Byaks Ex skill only becomes worth over ikkaku starting level 50+ at which point you enter the hard stacked realm which is not worth it since UBP is giving out partners who out damage both byak and ikkaku all day long and are far more deserving of the stack.

Only thing byak has over ikkaku is speed and Death mod. Speed is usefull in PVP but he is not overly fast to begin with compare to the meta so he can get shut down anyway + If you are hard stacking him there is a super high chance he will be the last to die so death mod is irrelevant specially since it is worthless it is not effective in void at all anymore.
