by worth it actually depends.
yes, if and only if you want to topup for stones, you get those 4 stones and you can get another 4 for the amount you topped up

ok 4 lvl 8 stones cost you :
6144g if vip6+
7680g if less than vip6

so if you plan on getting lvl 8 stones for that amount, then topup for 7k gold and spend on to get 4 lvl 8 stones, doing so you will get the 4 lvl 8 stones from the joint task as reward(after completiing the other tasks too ie)

so 7k gold spent, and get 8 x lvl 8 stones
EDIT: or you can spend on the ranking task to get those 4 lvl 9 stones, hoping no one has 600-700pts in the top 3
