Well what is best for you now depends on what plans you have for the future.
The event where you can buy two for one are called Labor glory and Dragon boat festival (April and May)

Also try to get zanpakuto soon, there is no good char with shit zan.
Benihime + Nel is great start. Or BwB + Stern if you dont have alot of whales in your server/realm.
