I never really understood why it isnt "allowed".

The time put into an account is yours, so is the money. Its YOUR account. I know that the laws on this stuff have been pretty shady and all. But if you pay for something, That is yours. Otherwise you could make a game, have people pay for it and then just close the game while keeping all the money. Can someone explain that shit to me?

And hell, I wish gogames was as devoted infixing bugs, and replying to emails as they seem to be in stopping people from selling their accounts.

And just to clarify, I am earnestly curious. I havent heard about any lawsuits involving this stuff, with any game. Even though one would expect that where money is involved.

Sure, I get that. But from my point of view, How can they tell me what i can or cannot do with something i paid for? Why dont they simply state in the TOS that sale of your account is at your own risk? There are many ways they can make it so that they arent responsible. The fact that they picked this one must mean its advantageous for them in another way.

Alright, let's go through a complete run-through of situations like this, think about it this way, games are made to make money, if someone wants a better account, instead of having to pay 5,000$ to get a VIP 10 account, they could pay 250 to someone who would sell their VIP 10 for such a small amount, cuz they are fed up, therefore, the game company would not make any profit off the resale of an account in which they earn nothing, instead, they force that person who wanted the good account to pay 2000$ to get to a level he is happy with, therefore, gogames (applicable for any other company) would get 7000$ in total, instead of 5000, and then not getting anything from the VIP 10 selling his account to an outside buyer. See? Basically, these accounts are not ours, we paid for them, raised them, spent our time on them, but all in all, fucking game companies decide "NO SORRY FUCK YOU!!!! OUT SITE OUR RULES OUR ACCOUNT, YOU PAY TO BORROW STUFF WE CAN PROVIDE ONLINE" Essentially, this translates to us having practically 0% shares in our accounts, we are just paying for data provided by the site. Now, this topic can get interesting, considering there are no goods for sale that you can hold in your hands, or "use", some people argue this is theft, unless you get something you can eat for the money you have paid for example, it is stealing money and not providing goods in return, this though, is bullshit. When you purchase something online, you know what it is going to be, and exactly what you are getting.
