Partner Mod - Strategy Attack ?

I'm curious, for partners who have the modification of "Bonus increase Strategy ATK by _%", for those partners who do not use strategy attack, I always assumed this was a completely worthless modification and just chalked it up to another un-fixed go-go games poor design.  However, I just did Starrk second modification, which is that same mod and his BP increase by 448.  His strategy attack still says 0, of course, but his BP did go up almost 500 points - so what actually changed on him from this modification?  Does it have a hidden stat it increases?  Did it increase strategy defense by chance?  Unfortunately I did not take a screenshot of his stats prior to mod or I could compare =( so was hoping maybe someone else knew what generated the BP increase.

My question then is, did it actually increase Strategy Defense?  I didn't take screenshots of before/after so I can't compare - can you/someone confirm that the stat of strategy defense actually increases?  If so that would explain the increase in BP.

yes it did. i did take a screenshot of it and it does on starrk anyways

I know this post is kinda dead but what about on a non-vanguard?  Like Kaien Shiba?  Same thing or different?  Cause it doesn't make sense for him to get strategy defense as an assaulter....

it doesnt matter who. if its stra atk written for a non-kido , then it means stra defense.
