Merge servers and stop making new ones?

After playing over a year I understand the set up they are doing. They start new server continuall ...

Here inlies the problem...my server has already been merged twice before, about 4 or 5 months ago or so...so I'm worried it will be quite a long time before they get around to merging it again...

Yeah, that's what I was saying they need to try and fix. But the other problem with it is one merged sever might have a fast drop off while the ones around it are much more active to merge at the time.

they need to merge some of the older servers together since most of us are at end game stats anyway. they did it with the csb groups so its already 1/2 way there its just every other event other than void is usually 2-3 players tops right now

yeah, or maybe, give us the option to migrate a character to another, newer server, such an action having an extremely long cooldown, like a month or two after doing it.

That would be far to overpowered. Just wait for a new server to open then migrate and dominate it with ease. That will never happen.

they could just make it so you can only migrate to an older server than your current one. would eliminate that problem, plus people could jsut post here what server they're going to and we can repopulate one

Why would anyone wanna go to a server where its a potential for stronger people than you?
You would lose arena rank hence lose daily prestige.
You would get more people in Ryoka and hence less kills.
More people in ES and hence harder to damage it.
Potentially stronger opponents in CSB and hence lower ranks and less challenge stones.
Your main upside would be more people = potentially more guild members = more guild activity = more guild instances if you manage to catch them since 2 people can finish them and potentially higher guild level which quite frankly is such a small boast it's barely worth mentioning.

Yeah that makes people quit, but when a merger occurs they complain that they get less Ryoka kills, less silver in ES, harder CSB, cant hold seireitei as easily, worse guild and so on.
It's easy to see the green side of the grass but people tend to complain when they get the other side.

Imagine going from the top player to fighting your guts out for a top 4-7 spot would you really enjoy it in the end? After months and months of being enslaved, being bested in arena over and over again, being treated as a weakling and everyone were all of a sudden a lot stronger than you. When you get less EXP, less silver, less rewards and progress a lot slower?
