Question about Evil Spirit

Hi all,
I have a simple question which could give me the answer to my current problem during ES.
Does anyone know if ES increases its defense before it increases its level?
Few days ago my average dmg at ES dropped from around 17-17,5+ mil to 15,5-16,5mil. I always got around 2,8-3mil first hit and now only around 2,5 mil.

Everything is the same as before this change.. ES still is lvl 105.
I am using exactly the same formation, same speed adjustment, same eq for certain partners everything ( I check it before every ES because I always need to change formation from my pvp one)
The only difference is that I got a bit stronger -> hogu, kon etc + my lvl went from 108 to 110.

It is really bothering me because seemingly nothing really changed and my dmg went down by 2 mil almost...

1st ur ES still not strong as our ES, for ES use grimjow swp got def minus and combine with shura ken + add block to ass u will get more damage asked gogames release obedient inoue, my guild member can hit 42m each round sexyor-shuraken-druk-shingin 8thskill

higher lvl ES u need higer break def crit no need spd or hitrate, hitrate only use for ryoka.

Thats nice and all but that doesnt answer my question.. I am looking for a reason which caused my dmg to drop when I didnt change anything except that my lvl a power grew a bit and Evil Spirit seems the same.
I am currently using zabimaru renji who is also decreasing defense + main and sexy yoruichi. I didnt put block stones from my tank to my assaulters because it didnt change anything when I tried that before, I have only some lvl 7 and 8 block stones so even my tank have only around 75% block chance with his gear and I cant afford to just buy bunch of high lvl stones to make all my assaulters have 90% block like some big spenders can...

ES up 1 lvl up def up resist crit up break def etc dunno how much % each lvl up, at the moment u dont need 90% block bcos that still low lvl ES when ur ES reach lvl 125-130 u really need alot high stones.

maybe u got extra round if luck thats why sometimes not reliable.

I generally skip ES because I get 300000 silver for resources next day.  I don't do ES because they are a lot of OP players and top 3 always get the ranks in ES and they beat all the spirits in 10 minutes, so I skip it.  My question, is it better to do 10 minutes of ES, or am I better skipping it?  I'm lvl 82, and use momo, rukia, ikkaku, main and renji.  There's no way I'll make top 3 in damage because top 3 in arena always get that bonus.  So should I still do ES for 10 minutes?  Or am I better skipping it

You dont need to get a rank at ES, you get some bonus stuff but nothing really major. So it is 100% better to do ES.. even for just  10 minutes you can get much more than from that daily stuff you can collect if you miss an event especially because of the 1st hit bonus.
gr8nesh18, I know that ES grows stronger when it lvls up. But I am asking if it is not possible or someone noticed that maybe it increases its defence even before the lvl up few times or something completely else because our ES was lvl 105 when I dealt 17+ mil, now it is still lvl 105 but I am dealing less with the same stuff.
I was also thinking about lack of luck for crits but I really doubt that before I would get 2,8mil+ for first hit every time and now I have such an misfortune that I would always get 2,5-2,6

easily dude when your damage decrease you have 2 things to know :
1- ES could have blocked a lot of your attacks which decrease damage
2- your fury generator don't give your assaulters a lot of criticals which minimize the damage

For ES and lets say ryoka, would grimmjow be better than a tavern renji mod 2?  I didn't get grimmjow because at lvl 90 I was gonna get Kenpachi, and currently all my silver is going for tavern to get uruhara.They say Panthera Grimmjow is good, but I can't wait till level 100 to get him.  I'm just 82.  I use ikkaku, main renji tavern mod 2, rukia no mods, momo no mods.  This other dude that has grimmjow in my server is dealing a lot of damage and I'm wondering if it's cause he uses grimmjow.  He uses a 5-1 on equipment, which is 5 spirit forge lvl 70 and one spirit forge 80, but for grimmjow he uses 3 lvl 80 spirit forge and 3 lvl 70 spirit forge.  Oh he uses toshiro, 5-1 as described, along with shini uruhara and orihime.  Same stones and reinforcements I checked.  Only his grimmjow uses 3-3 pieces. 3 lvl 70 and 3 lvl 80.He doesn't have a full set so why is he doing all that damage, and I was wondering if it's cause of grimmjow.  Yet again I haven't spirit forged my asaulters gear, because I wanted them to reach 80 to get them lvl 80 gear and spirit forge them.  Is it because of that? Or is grimmjow dealing way more dmg than my renji.  Should I get grimmjow and skip kenpachi at 90?  Or get grimmjow right now skip kenpachi and get pantera at 100?  Oh one last thing.  I'm saving all my silver to get uruhara from tavern to replace my momo.  Considering I have to replace my support, one of them at 10 minutes of ryoka, and I only do 10 minutes of ES cause they beat them all in 10 mins, is it worth it to get uruhara for 10 minutes of ryoka and ES?  I already have rukia.  Or should I skip uruhara with lets say a supporter that deals more dmg like SWP Toshiro for example.  It's just 10 minutes of ryoka till I replace a supporter with vanguard and ES ends in 10 minutes.
