any other opinions out there? Is Shin Nel a contender or not so much?

Nel doesnt really work that great with Komamru, that being said nel is pretty strong. Think toshiro would work better with your team though. But best would just be to save up reishi and go for gin. And personally i feel like rukia can last a long time if you build her right.

Hmm from my experience.. vitality doesnt provide you with that much xp. Lot of ppl told me that they are leveling slowly because they are saving vit but the fact is.. I am saving vit for like 2 months now and I am leveling the fastest on my server which is weird because I need the most xp... All you need to do is participate in ES and ryoka every day, protect seireitei is a small bonus and you can save vit and leveling fast at the same time..
If you know that it will take you quite a bit of time to get to 100 then get harribel because she is much better than toshiro. If you can lvl up fast then wait for gin.. I dont see much use in toshiro (both versions) because most of the ppl I meet are using fury buffers and toshiro only restrict normal attacks so enemy can still use their skill if they have enough fury and in that case reduction of fury and possible stun from harribel is much better. The best way to utilize toshiro is to combine him with gin/harribel.. on his own he isnt that good.

Really? I thought she'd work well with him if I bumped up his dodge ability. But I don't know if she will be better than Toshiro in the long run, I've battled against shin toshiro and he can be a pain lol. Haven't battled shin Nel so hard to determine...I prob will end up saving and just going to Gin lol, I still need 1000 to be able to get him. I was also thinking of getting Barragan in the lvl 90 tavern in the meantime...the poison and attacks all vibe sounds good..

lol no it definitely doesn't I'm still levelling, just slower than I could be otherwise...I just grab slaves as often as I can lol. The only event I can do is ES because of my timezone, and even then I often get black screened and can't do it.

Yea that's why i started saving for Nel instead of toshiro, I read his description n was like geez doesn't stop a fury attack, not too useful then. But now i see it act prevents them from regaining any fury for 2 rounds, so it will take 4 rounds before the enemy assaulter can do their fury attack, and if that's the 10th skill then it's useful to prevent it happening, especially if I hav rukia to get my fury again quickly.

The downside to Harribel is she isn't infallible...I mean with accessories etc the chance of stunning/deducting fury sometimes doesn't even happen. Depends on the other person's immunity rate. So it is a tough call :/

Well she deduct fury every time it isnt a chance. The stun however you are right, it is dependant on luck mostly and you can only increase it with accessory and being higher lvl than your enemy. Sometimes it really trolls me hard When I cant stun someone 10lvls below me but their stunner can stun me just fine almost every time
Well do as you want. If you are more often against ppl who dont have T1 or fury buffer like rukia or kisuke and your toshiro is faster then their support stunner or main then he is good no doubt about that but if they have something I mentioned and most ppl above lvl 100 do then your toshiro will not help you as much as harribe or ginl would. If I were you I would just wait for gin unless you desperately need some assaulter stunner to keep 1st-3rd position in arena or something.

lol no I hover around the mid-20's in arena, definitely not top 3 we have a couple of lvl100+ players on our server but I don't fight them so not a worry right now - I know my formation will change when I can get lvl100+characters, but I also know I need options depending on my enemy's formation for the time being...If I face a 1-3-1 formation I'm at a disadvantage and usually can't win, even if I can win when the same person has a 1-2-2 formation. So I feel like I need a cheap-ish character who attacks assaulters to tide me over for 13 levels till I can get Gin or maybe an amazing UBP character (which I can't rely on lol) but reishi is hard to get so just want to spend it wisely and not just take the first character that sounds good

Btw if you check in the accessories you'll see the bracelets and anklets say "deduct fury resistance", so if you wear a matching pair it gives you a higher chance of not having fury deducted if you are hit by an attack that deducts fury. There is definitely a possibility of 0 fury reduction, I've seen it before in battles when my main has been hit by Harribel and I've had no stun effect and a big purple 0 and fury stays same...average is 50, sometimes the number shows 75 or 47 or some random crit. number that has been deducted, but on the odd occasion it shows 0 - you see it especially in Espada with characters that are immune to fury reduction, a 0 appears when you hit them. so she doesn't deduct fury every single time--most times yes, but not every time

IMO Nel is superior to toshi.  In her 2nd form she's FAR superior to all the partners you named.

Toshiro is useful but only works for pvp,meanwhile a T1 Toshiro faster than enemy assaulters can destroy the enemy completely
but Harribel is very good with hollow soul,pvp etc. Consider these facts and go for whatya think

yea i know, her stats are amazing in 2nd form! But i'm VIP0 so would only be able to have her in first form

Thanks for the advice I actually ended up choosing Toshiro after all, although I have enough coupons for Nel as well.

He's proving himself pretty worthwhile though, he's not T1 but now that i'm getting his speed up he's working pretty well and definitely proving useful
