This totally depends on what you're using it for (pve vs pvp), what kind of stones/access/gear/hogu you have for them, etc. Hichi tends to be an easier build for F2P or low vip due to much better growth rates, Starrk can be super squishy without the right build. W/o more info its hard to say which would work better for you but if ya give us more info I'll be sure to vote

Smh its pretty much defensive vanguard vs offensive vanguard.

Starrk pretty much becomes an assaulter with high blcok and hp (a.k.a a vanguard with damage)

Ichigo pretty much becomes Komamura, but an obviously much better defensive one (a.k.a a vanguard with max defense)

I'd choose Starrk, only because he can simply do the best of both, whats wrong with more damage?

Have to say i agree with this 100%. In the end it depends on what you want your vanguard to do but i will almost always take ICHI over stark because lets face it if you have the vip(stones,equip,e.t.c) you are better off with swp zaraki as an offensive vanguard.Now i may be wrong but this is my view on it
Reasons:
Chances are a team with ichigo will have a higher overall damage out put due to a few things. Aid to keep your assaulters alive for longer means they can deal more dmg(its like the most op buff in this game). Generally vanguards deal less dmg than rest of the team since most zanpakuto reduce their dmg rate
If mods work correctly Ichigo can have more than 90% block and dodge(personally plan on creating a team based around dodge using him and bel just to screw with people)
Lastly when in pve the block for a retarded amount of dmg making attack alls less effective(unless you have break defence to spare for vang)

If the rest of your team is crappy then you can make Starrk pretty good and use Hyorin.  But if you have the money to get Senbon you have the money to get other partners that are dramatically better than starrk and thus focusing on starrk is a waste of time.  If you don't have Hyorin or Senbon you're completely wasting your time with him IMO.

For F2P I'd choose Hollowed any day and for a higher VIP I'd choose Soph Rang, Demon Ichi or TSI over Starrk any day.  I honestly can't think of any reason I'd want Starrk on my team.  I'd always prefer making another partner the star.

I understand people like Starrk from the Anime/Manga, but in the game he's just not that great.  Sure if you throw everything you've got onto him he'll be your best partner, but you'd have a much better partner if you min/maxed most other end-game partners.
I've never once encountered a Starrk in CSB/HM that wasn't paper to chop through with Sexy Yoru.  She generally 1-shots every starrk I see and worst case leaves them at 10-25%.
