nah don't worry

even if it does somehow turn out to be 'ruined', you tried right?

just then look at it, avoid all the bad things about it, and improve, don't think of a drawing to be a failure when you haven't put the pencil on paper yet, or better off even thought about how you'll start it ^^

if you do Kensei, focus on jaw/neck area with tonal shading, it'd be great to see a frontal there ^^
