You see, the first 4 get replaced by partners you can get for free, 1 way or the other, Tosh is possibly the worst money grabs you can do, as he is easily replaced by a better VG like Starrk, or simply don't pay money and have the slightest weaker Saijin

The 2 assaulters there are to NOT be considered, ever. There's a reason people don't have them, I mean, the only reason why I even see people have Shinji is due to how his skill looks, even with all those bonuses it's not worth something you can trade in for free. People look at stats, not just a skill, sure he's fast at base, but his mods is less and will take a long time since he's an event character, compared to a tavern with higher % in their mods, and quicker to get

okay,  lets put it this way...  today i tried something,  when i pulled my isshin for Zabimaru, i gained 2.2M damage per hit. so in events (where he was made for) Zabimaru is a good option.  he has Kenny's damage, and ikkaku's fury regen. mix that with less than terrible stats and you have a good option.  not the best, but a good one.  as for shinji,  TBH i don't have him and only seen 2 on server, but i've seen a lot of people say he is blistering fast, so I'd call that a + for him.  As for Toshi, I have seen first hand several that are very good.  I haven't hit on D Rukia because you have agreed that she is very decent.
Are they outstanding partners?  No, not really
For a low VIP (4 to 6) are they viable options?  Hell yes
Would I spend money to buy them? (spending the gold, not a freebe for the top up)  No,  probably not  Zabi, maybe if i had ikkaku and kieske and rukia, only for events...  maybe if he was cheap.
However, i got him from this event, and i really like him

Here is mine,  i swap out my vang for him for events and probably today for ryoka i am hitting level 105 to the gear on him is not spirit infused (the level 20 thing, whatever)

hold on, you actually gained damage for swapping isshin out? who was your other Assaulter? and how much were you hitting before and after the swap?
