Lmfao generally there's 3 reactions I get to it irl. The people that start laughing right away and you know they didn't get it but don't want to look stupid, then there's the people who just sit there and stare at you blankly and slowly start laughing uncomfortably, then lastly there's the people who finally get it like 10 minutes later and start cracking up. It's rare, but a few people do get it after maybe 10 or 20 seconds of thinking it through too.
