Oh I got the title several days ago just normally, didn't have a bunch of ppl show up on Shini to spoil it this time, though one was trying to death revive to spoil it at end, so I had to use a few. I used 9th skill cause the damage with 8th it just far to low.

What's yer setup, mate? Like, your team comp, attack order, and equipment setup? Since I give Ikkakku my absolute best gear, having him attack twice (essentially a 100% boost, wouldn't ya say?) far outweighs a 15% attack boost for him, Renji (with weak vanguard gear from my Komamura) and myself. I don't need my main and Renji to deal damage -- they have practically none to even boost in comparison. My Ikkakku, though -- he gets the work of 4 or 5 Assaulters done. (Still waiting for that event Renji, though...)

Rukia/Urahara supports, and Main/Ikkaku/Kenpachi assaulters. I don't switch gear out, my main hits for a ton, as his phy atk is about 108k so I just keep it on him, my ikkaku's gear is lvl 90 spirit forged stuff, his phy atk is like 80k, and kenpachi is in my vg's gear, and he still hits like a truck. I got 90% crit on main, 84% on Ikkaku, they just do a ton of dmg, as does Kenpachi. ATM on evil spirit I'm doing almost 9 million dmg no buffs per battle.

I use the same people also, i'm in the 9-10mil damage on evil spirit, no buff. And for ryoka i haven't found my max.

That's about same, I do around 10m now (mains dmg is about 114k phy dmg) so your's is pretty impressive to.

10th skill is the best hands down for pvp

for pve the choices of 9th and 8th skill vary depending on your setup.

with sogyo and dark rukia in my pve team the 9th skill would simply be overwritten so its not worth it. add the fact that i have iishin i can then chain quite a few attacks with 8th skill. i still would say even if someone is f2p they would do better with 8th skill, since 3 assaulter's (if you use that formation) with 15% more damage is still going to be lower than getting an extra turn off on your assaulter's, someone would need to crunch the numbers to find out

This thread got me wondering whether keeping your vanguard in would be the better option rather than kisuke and rukia in ES and Ryoka?

It all depends on your formation, which zanpakuto you use, and what partners you use.

Some skills will help maxumise your zanpakuto skill effects and other skills will help maxumise your partner skill effects
