120 gear or 100 slot gear

Which set of gear is better.  Level 120 spirit forged gear or 100 slots gear.  For reference, I'm referring to the 100 assaulter gear from slots.  

120 spirit forged has better base stats, but 100 assaulter gear has higher damage percentage, 7% to 14% so I don't know which would be better to use.

Someone once told me that always go for the one that gives more attack.  I'm not too good with maths, so I wouldn't be so sure about the difference.  What I do know is base stats give 3040 attack to the 120 gear and 3000 attack to 100 slot gear.  Yet again the slot gear gives 7% more damage as mentioned.

Also somebody mentioned before that there's a 20level gear difference between event gear and spirit forged gear.  Dont know if this applies here though.

That's only in base stats that there's a 20 level difference. For the most part the bonus stats on event gear is so much better that really even low level event gear is better than most of the highest level spirit forged stuff we've seen. And the higher level event gear you start talking about (ie 100, 110, 120) You can't even begin to compare even the spirit forged 140 gear to it.
As for this particular case a 7% damage difference absolutely obliterates the minor difference in attack you'd get from the spirit forged set

More bad news for my wallet, lol.  I was hoping the 120 spirit forged set would be better, at least better than the slots gear, that way I save some money, lol.

I only brought this up because somebody mentioned a good while ago, that the lvl 80 thunder set was inferior to the 100 spirit forged set, and they mentioned the whole 20 level thing.  But that's a good point you mention, the bonus stats on event gear is very much better and 7% is a whole lot.
