anyone know with soul cultivation, if growth rates are retroactive?

This entire thread amuses me, for several reasons (besides the fact that I started it)...

First, and foremost, just looking at the various posters on this thread, there are several players who are high level/veteran players, and I know from reading this, that like myself, none of us actually truly know how growth rates work.  I mean I have done research on it, similar to what the one guy posted of checking stats before/after leveling and adding stats via gear and such, and I have an advanced degree and actually had done work with statistical math and data forecasting, and even I haven't figured out exactly how the hell growth rates work.

Second, and actually more entertaining, is seeing people occassionally posts thing like "zomgs new partner has X growth rate!! they so much more OP then _____ who only has X growth rate", when in reality the fuktards who post that have exactly no idea what they are talking about....but since no one else knows either, everyone is all like, "YEAH!! So much OPness from that growth rate!!"

Well, secretly I was hoping that someone was going to be like.."A guide was posted on this 2 years ago linked *here*", and then I was going to be all like, "Ah ok, tnx!".

But that was my secret, wishful thinking.  My realistic-self assumed this thread would serve nothing other then to confirm my suspicion that everyone else knew about equally as much as I did on the topic, which is relatively nothing.

So, the thread was not pointless, it had several points, to which each of them were served.
