Not gona lie, I don't want a ugly arse looking character, no matter how strong he or she may be..  Sooo! Obviously the wink wink body :p Specially if I have to spend gold on that character, I DON'T want something that looks like a 3rd graders hero / Boobi-licious fantasy x worst drawing / animation know to man-kind.
That being said, after the body is obviously the skill... Like how I love Bankai Rukia's Skill as well as Shinigami Shinji Hirako.. But yeah, I dare Gogames to mess up the new Yuroichi if they plan on adding her (w/o spoiling too much for the people who didn't catch the latest chapters).

for me it depends on the skill and position in the formation then based on that i look at other stats

I care about the base stats (wisdom/strength and agility) and their corresponding growth rates. Also the skill description. Natural combo, good mods, etc are also looked for.
