For your level 7 would be awesome. But as you go higher, get him to evo 11. That speed and crit dmg would come in handy ;)

Changed my shura ken for sexy yor. Got my dmg down (low evo and mod) but will worth it in the future and since she is at my level. That helped too .

Okay how you go about yama depends on few things, firstly do you depend on him or another character.

If you do depend on him you need to focus a lot on him, mainly speed, attack and crit. Yama has a fair bit of speed himself so he can out speed most assulters. But he won't out speed or generally out shine most of the new op red supporters and some of the very high assulters. (hiki/ senju/ oetsu/white ichi/mugetsu and other 10k + partners)
Good things about focusing on yama.
*He is fast, and if you have zangetsu plus t1 well you are going to fuck people hard.
*His attack is high enough to murder. Like really if he crits its rare people survive.
*He's quite tanky, so alternatively you could go for defensive yama with something like hyorin.
*DOT, well its fucking useful in hollow maps.
*Decent debuffs he gives, fury restriction saved my ass a lot.
Bad thing about focusing yama
*He won't beat most of people with hiki and other payed partners.
*He sometimes won't one hit and because his debuff aren't too great it could make you lose.
*His DOT is over all not great, don't expect it to do too much unless your yama is at 300k+ attack.
*Giving T1 to other partners might be more beneficial than relying on just yama
*Heh, vangard bummers, yama can have a lot of break deffence but some of the nozas with over 110 block rate will very likely kill you.

Now if you aren't planning to focus him but use him as a "clean up" machine like me then you should focus only two things, attack and crit. You want to hit hard and crit a lot.
Good things about keeping him as just a clean up machine are:
*You don't rely on his 150% + DOT to do all damage (in some cases it just doen't fucking cut it)
*If he gets stunned, it isn't an instant loss for you.
*Speed, hopefully the partner that you are focusing is faster, if not you are very likely daft.


Okay so how to decide what to do with yama, well simple do you have anyone that is even slightly better? Yes, okay do you think he would be more beneficial in PVP (if you planning to use yama in PVE events fuck off)?

If you have any of the "higher end" partners forget focusing on him. Not including kirinji, he's too "chancy" in my opinion, better focus yama over him in my opinion. (Don't start with the new skill bs, it takes ages to get them so I don't consider them a valid factor for now. )

Depends on what kind of team you have and how the T1 thing going. Yama-ji doesnt really need speed, he can tank it, and hit really hard. Focus on his STR and Crit and Break Def, or add some more counter to make him tank better. Focus on your crowd control skills on your supports, fast enough that no one will affect yama to attack. You dont need that many STR stones on your main, so you might as well move higher level STR stones on him. Yama will be your ultimate damage dealer. Switch to CSB kenpachi if you have him for PvE. In PvP, work him with your White Ichigo.

Shinso + W.Ichigo/Yama/Main + Good VG(dont know what you are using), will be a very good PvP team, with whatever you have.
