Strictly PVE...

My current PVE setup...
Main, Zabimaru Renji, Ishin, Jushiro, Tavern Kiuske  Muramasaafter wave 58 (where i stop 1 shotting) i pull Zabimaru Renji for Soph Rangiku and at wave 64 Mura for Hyorin

looking to replace Zabimaru Renji with one of these 2,  i have about 3k stones for Kenny,  but if i get her, I will rent Sexy for a day so she will start at level 110 (which is really a big deal IMO) I do understand that CSB Kenny has more damage output potential and i do already have a weapon for him, but Yourichi gives fury, has an insane combo rate naturaly, plus Isshin's boost to it will be nice too.  I know both are a solid choices and would be a noticable improvement over Zabimaru Renji.  ATM i'm kind of leaning toward Yourichi,  but CSB Kenny is kind of a legend in my server...

That's how I go about my decisions. Now you can question how I do "good" in this game.

also, do Ryoka and ES have a Break Defense stat?  as that IS a notch in Kenny's favor if they do

I have used them both, and from what I saw Shura>Sexy any time of day.

Let's see, i will talk about full Mod and evo.

Sexy yoru: 305% growth rate, 15% str, 6% atk, 23.55% dmg rate, 35% combo, 20% crit dmg
Shura:      350% growth rate, 18% str, 7% atk, 28.05% dmg rate, 18.5% combo, 30% crit dmg

I dunno which zanp you use, so I dunno if Sexy Yoru's buff is going to help you at all.
On the other hand, Shura's break def debuff is going to make you perma block at ryoka/ES with about 55% block on your assaulters

Stats overall, Shura is better and the stronger you grow, the stronger this difference becomes 'cause of the difference between growth rates.

Yoruichi is good to keep the team T1 every round, but shura is a beast, both in dmg and his buff is awesome. My dmg jumped to 50m after using shura ken , thats high for me cuz i dont have any event partners.

before i swap in my vanguard, Muramasa is the Zan i use, which i hear Sexy's buff overwrites Murmasa's, which sucks...  so i guess the question is reduced to is Sexy's fury gain/combo rate/starting at main's level worth more than Shura being a legitimately stronger partner...
Also, when i bring in Shinso, i'll have to nerf out some T1 on other partners, which Sexy will fix in pve,   but T1 vs T2 in pve...  doesn't seem like a huge deal TBH   hmm, Kenny is looking like the better choice,  that 110 levels tho...  ugh...

I use to use shura but changed to s-yor. I think it makes a difference.

Damage doesn't come from supports, unless you got Hiki+Senju+Retsu. You could always swap Ukitake to Kisuke once you get Shinso, and you won't even need furies on your Assaulter line.

I used to run Muramasa as well for pve with Kisuke-Cute-Shura-Isshin-MC for ES and changed Kisuke to tavern Unohana for Ryoka. The difference between in Ryoka was about 1 wave less at wave 68, but my assaulters didn't die till wave 75(never reached more).

Tbh I don't know anymore since Isshin's fix, but I'm positive in one thing. The stronger you grow, the higher their difference becomes.

A vague example would be, my Shura atm does 10m crit skill. If Sexy were equal in terms of damage rate and atk which she isn't, she would do 8.7m. Now, in about 20 days my Shura will get his 30% crit dmg, which will make it 13m, while Sexy's same star would make it 10.4m. A difference of 2.6m per skill, total of 13m difference if they were both to skill in every round.

Shura for sure has a potential for much higher damage, but I can't tell you if that 15% combo difference can make up to it.
