Is Shinji a Viable tank over Sajin?

Yes for PvP and trials, no for hard Espada fights.
Shiji will just melt to the damage invoked by espada 2, and he will also struggle in higher Palace even, maybe even in some higher trials.

My Komamura can't handle Espada 2 and Lv85 palace higher floors, with lv70 R20 infused armor set, so shinji will just get destroyed in either of those unless you give him a higly upgraded and infused 80 red set.

but my shinji can handle im now in lvl 85 palace floor 30/30 and he is the one can survive my assult die 1st and my equip for hm is level 70 infuse 16 14 16 17 11

As for me, Shinji is just an upgraded version of chad with a bit more PVP elements.
His damage in PVP is decent and fine in PVE.
He has no problem tanking but of course Komamura is better for lower VIP players.

That's my take on it. But in the end it really depends on what server you play.

nice, are you still using him? which zanpaktou do you use?
i am lvl 64 now. was thinking whether to to take shinji at lvl 70(if so then tenken) or take sajin(if so then kazeshini).

im using kazeshini zampaktu i used now i change my VG to NNOITRA GILGA just yesterday i recruit it and now level 85

viable tank so it means good also in pvp pve also check his mod when i used nnoitra i survive in espada #2

I find this hard to believe, especially since you said he lasts longer than your assault in 10th division soul palace.   Lv4 stones WILL mean you take like 25k++ damage from each of the enemies.   Then you say its got lv70 infused gear (not 20) which means you got 120k hp? Will die on 2nd round if not 1st xD

I would say rather be completely honest and don't try to give someone false hope.   Some people might not be able to get 2 lv70 partners before they get to 80+ and making a wrong choice in partners might make them loose interest in the game because they cant do what you claimed to have done.

Shinji will never be as good a tank as Sajin when you use the same gear and stones.   Sajin has a passive defense buff and gets a 30% buff on fury. Shinji gets a pretty nice block buff but that is only if it gets to even cast it.   If you're going to do stuff like trials and espada's then Sajin would be better.

Offensive VG's will never be better at tanking and defensive VG's will never be as good in dps.   When you choose your partners, assess your situation and the status of YOUR current server.
