Hyperdimension Neptunia is all about that 4th wall destruction with gaming references. Probably not trolling, though.

Hey, I've watched a ton of series in the past however these 3 are just miles ahead.
Katekyo, Toradora and Stein;s Gate.

ToraDora is nice, yea
Steins;Gate is one of the best anime ever produced, together with Code geass and FMA:Brotherhood

Sakurasou no pet na kanojo is also really good (But most people have watched all of those)
So here is one you might not have watched:
"One out's" or "Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor"
"Zankyou no terror" is also really good

I've been watching Hunter x Hunter recently. I've seen the first episode, and so far I'm unimpresse ...

being a hunter just gives you access to more information or clearence to go places otherwise off limits etc... not all of them hunt monsters.

the first arc does start kinda slow and uninteresting but for me it gets better as it goes along. i had also already read the manga up to date so i knew what to expect when i started watching it.
