shin Grim is better than Soo Renji for most any situation i've come across... but if you top up $5, you can become VIP1 and upgrade Grim... very worth it
i have both of them and to be honest early on both can be really good in pve since that was my best use out of them but as you get partners that are better they die down. those grimmjow lives on for longer but with stronger event partners he can be replaced.
