Well agreed he's a great character but then on another note I really don't like him. My favourite would be Mugetsu, but ain't got the dough for him right now. So looking for viable options

Handsome Toshiro whenever he drops to 20K and if his freeze still works on PVE by then... otherwise Koga will be a PVP monster for you especially with them overpowered modifys.. i just don't like his defensive bonds.

depends on setup but for most setups you'll probably find koga being the best red assaulter since mayuri is the only other red i can think of at 20k. toshiro has only been like 40k or so if i remember correctly.

Koga is 20k TOP OFF during the latest PYRAMID event, you should have looked at events more closely.

I would have, if I had my paycheck ready, topped off 20k and gotten KOGA, sense KOGA is one of the BEST CHARACTERS in the entire game. :3 Koga in my opinion is better than Mugetsu, which is more expensive.

Also, with that 20k since you just needed to top that off to get Koga, I would save it, and then wait for a Task Master and Discount Shop event together to then top off another 12k, get Hifi and then get Tensa Zangetsu, this way you have the Second best zanpakuto in the game, two of the best characters in the game, and a BUNCH of rewards.

Though, I would reference my earlier thread about Shinigami Fund:

These are the events you should look out for:

a pyramid, ultimate charge, make money, shinigami fund, and then a task master event.

Pyramid= top up 20-30k get tensa or a character

ultimate charge= get a character or zanpakuto

make money= rebate on rebate

shinigami fund= spend 20k to get 30k back

task master= spend and top-up 12k-20k to get level 120set-140set or a character.

Getting several characters, rebates, and more.

That's the only scenario I see where spending that much money is worth.

Wonder if it'll ever happen one day.
