For PVE: would any tavern red upgrade partner be better than Isshin as the 3rd assaulter? Like Ikkaku, kenpachi, etc.

Let me put it this way: For PVE Single Target eg: Ryoka / Evil Spirit ( Not Void ) , You best off using Uryu or Kenpachi, Kenpachi is 300% growth rate skill while uryu is 330% i believe. This means that with massive stat boosts these guys will be hitting harder than most event partners. Preferably i say choose Uryu because his Mod's are way better than Kenpachi's , But kenpachi is better if you need to cap out your assaulter s block rate with his skill. So yes, for single target PVE Uryu/ Kenpachi from tavern will be amazing, I will be using Berserk Renji, Main and Uryu for my assaulter set-up.

you forget though Isshin has 35% combo rate and 100 fury regain so im pretty sure that would still put him ahead xD

I already have Isshin, but i was going to start saving reishi for a red tavern upgrade partner if they may end up better than Isshin during PVE events

the 100% fury regen doesn't start till exclusive skill on US and EU servers...
I was on the Isshin bandwagon since before he was fixed so please hear me out...
I just swapped him out for Sexy Yourichi in PVE...  I run a 0-3-2 there, my Isshin was 5 levels higher, 7 levels higher in evo, 11 levels higher in SC, and 2 more stars modded than my Sexy was...
My hardest hit with Isshin ever was 2.6% on a level 150 ES
My hardest hit with Sexy so far was 4.9% on a level 150 ESnothing else in my party changed
I've had her 2 days...   There is the info I have, you be the judge on if Isshin is a PVE god...
granted he IS better in PVP, but I don't use her for PVP, so that's not in my decision at all

I swapped isshin for sexy yoruichi some time after they fixed his combo. I could actually achieve higher dmg with him compared to yoruichi (same eq and everything) but it was not constant, that was the problem. Yoruichi provided a constant dmg which in the long run over several rounds in ES was better overall. I used her with shura ken untill I got b. renji like a month or 2 max ago and she was still good. Not to mention that fury buff to all is really handy.
Regarding new partners.. we will see what those new growth rates and maybe some decent mod will do for them when they fix it..untill then it is pure speculation.
