If you enjoy the game and play it a lot, then why is it so bad to spend money. As much as people complain about people who spend thousands of dollars on games (any game), they pay for the servers. They pay for it to be free so that everyone can play. Obviously, a lot of it still turns into profit for the company that runs the game, but without good enough profit games get shut down.
If people have disposable income, who are we to tell them what to do with it? And who are we to judge them based on what we see in the game alone? If you know the person well and/or can see what else they spend their money on, then you have more grounds to say if it is a waste or not. But even then, what right do we have to tell others how to live? Part of what makes the modern world work is our freedom of choice and to not be told what to do - we can live our lives how we want.
Truth be told, if I could throw a few thousand at this game and not even notice much of a dent in my bank account, I probably would. That doesn't make me a bad person though, I help others a lot and give to charity when I can etc etc.
I do not regret what I have spent (it is not much so not much to regret). I enjoy the game and play a lot so no reason to regret. I sometimes regret what I spent the gold on but that is another point entirely. |
