To answer your question, because the target demographic is probably over 98-99% male. But yes, I can see your point, being a girl playing this game would probably get annoying at times. Like when you can only get a girlfriend and not a boyfriend at home
But, at the very least, you can play as a female character.

Because originally Bleach is a shounen manga/anime. Which targeted for guys. So, yeah it is designed for guys bcoz it is originally for them. But, I (girl) also played it too

Same here... when I first was able to do the home interactions I thought ummm did i click something wrong? I am a female character right?
Although one of the other players on my server suggested I start a man-harem lol.

I think this statement answers the question perfectly. And yes, being a girl myself, it does get annoying when you have to do beauty game or having to interact with your girlfriend. However, I've gotten used to it. Just don't hope someone questions me about it when they see what I'm playing >.<
