Shinji or Sajin? (Exclusive to me)

This isn't a repeat thread.

I'm trying to get some input from the community on my next decision.
I'm VIP 8 and have a SSS zanpakuto.


Sajin is obviously the better tank out of the two. The problem that I'm having is that I'm not sure if Sajin would be more viable for me.

I'm imagining this situation:
Sajin being extremely tanky, surviving three+ turns past the rest of my soul reapers. So Sajin would be left alone by himself, allowing him to single target attack a few more times. His damage has not had a huge impact on the battle because of his single target attack. He's just allowed enough time to get our support/assaulters max damage output before the aoe's kill them.

I believe Shinji might be more beneficial because he will last just as long as the rest of my soul reapers, but longer. He'll have 100% Block rate due to my gems and his modification and skill. He will be fairly tanky as well. He will being doing massive aoe damage to all of the enemy, because my zanpakuto has no negative impact on his attack.


Now, I think the best route for myself is Shinji because he'll be overall a much better addition. I'm not a very high level yet, so I was wondering if I could get feedback from the other players in the community.

Yes, I did read the other topics related to this. No, they did not really give me a definite answer.

still, better to get sajin, and use it till 100, and then use starrk, he will be compatible with your sss zanpakuto (hyourinmaru i believe)

Everything is "compatible". but I'm not sure which one is more beneficial. Do you have any reasons for Sajin being better for me until later on?

VG's don't really block in high lv pve, defense + hp is the MOST desirable
